I had the pleasure of meeting a family who's story filled me with love and inspiration.
Love for humanity, for our Earth's beauty, for the women doing great things. Inspiration to keep fighting for our planet and spread awareness.
Riding Wild is an adventure and documentary film project by Aniela Gottwald with the goal of riding 4,000 miles from the U.S. - Mexican Border to the Sacred Headwaters of Canada. Aniela hopes to raise awareness to the tsunami of coal mining development destined for North Western British Columbia and inspire a movement to explore and protect the remote frontiers of the natural world that support our life on the planet.
THE Sacred Headwaters
"In a remote mountainous region of northern British Columbia lies the Sacred Headwaters, the shared birthplace of three of British Columbia’s most important salmon rivers, the Stikine, Skeena and Nass. It supports one of the largest predator-prey ecosystems in North America, and it is the traditional territory of the Tahltan First Nation. Largely unprotected, numerous proposed mining developments now threaten the water, wildlife and culture of this land." (Paul Colangelo)
John Zada's story about traveling to the region.
A visual journey to the Stikine and Sacred Headwaters.
